Musical Friday: Fight for what you believe in!

"Music speaks what cannot be expressed soothes the mind and gives it rest heals the heart and makes it whole flows from heaven to the soul."

Music is something unique. It can spread happiness, make you dance till you can't stand on your feet any more and put a smile on your face in the worst of times. I personally love music. It helps me relax after a stressful day or make myself go to sleep when my mind is looming around all sorts of places.

Since music has such an important and inspirational part of my life, I thought that every week, I would post my favourite song (s). The main aim of these posts is to brighten up your day or fill up your 'awesome day' meter. That's because I believe with all my heart and soul that music doesn't only change our mood, but it also changes the way we think and our perceptions of the world.

My first favourite song this week is... *drumroll*

... Rachel Platten- Fight Song!

This song makes me so happy when I hear it. It spreads positivity when I need it and it represents all the things I believe in. It represents the fact that we, women and girls are strong, we can fight for what we believe in, and that we shouldn't let anyone tell us otherwise.

I first heard this song in one of Pretty Little Liars' episodes and instantly had to Shazam it and listen to it a million times. It is awesome and Rachel deserves all the success possible for writing such an amazing song.

And secondly...

...George Ezra- Cassy O'!

If you want a song that will stick in your head for the next few weeks, maybe months, this is the song for you. It is so catchy, that when you hear it, you can't help but dance. George is such an amazing performer and having seen him live once, I would strongly recommend that you attend a concert of his.

This is the awkward part of this post where I say "Well, these are my favourite songs of the week." but I feel like I should say something else to make it less awkward... However, next week I will indeed share my favourite songs again and I hope to inspire you to be positive!
