Aloha to those of you who are still with me, one month after
publishing my last post. I promise I will be a better blogger from now on. I
don’t understand how the professional bloggers have the patience to write a
blog post after blog post, edit it, put in photos, write captions so that they
don’t later get an angry e-mail saying that they must remove the photograph or
else due to copyright, do all the scheduling and then schedule all the other posts. I can’t do
that... Firstly, I don't understand computers and second, it’s a sport in itself. The picture below represents just how bad I am with technology!

The last couple of days, and in fact the whole month have
been a mixture of feelings and emotions. From exciting, surprising, amazing, scary, sparkly to simply
inspiring. A few days after my last blog post was published, I went into school to collect my final A-Level results and see whether I was accepted into
University. Of course, as, I'm guessing most 18 year olds feel on that Thursday I was nervous. I woke up at 5am and went to my mum. I don't ever wake up at 5am, let alone go wake my mum up and cry to her. I was so scared, that I couldn't focus on anything, other than just thinking about the worst case scenario. I had, at one point in time decided that it would be a good idea to watch my favourite TV series. That didn't work and I switched it off 2 minutes into the adverts.
As many of you English peeps know, on the morning of Thursday 13th August, UCAS goes live and you can see whether you have been accepted into University or whether you have to go through Clearing. I was almost certain that I had to go through Clearing at one point in time... I was scared to check it. However, after seeing one of my friends eagerly post on Facebook that she had been accepted into University, I managed to pull UCAS up on my phone and check whether I was accepted!
However, as always, my Internet decided that it couldn't take the anticipation and crash, leaving me at a cliff hanger for a few minutes. Those few minutes were the worst few minutes that I could ever remember in my life. I don't know about you, but I hate it when something ends on a cliff hanger. For example, Jane the Virgin (my favourite TV series)... WHY??? I still can't get over the way in which the last episode ended.
A few minutes later, my Internet was back, allowing me to access my UCAS account. Finally. The first thing I saw when I was finally logged on was so not encouraging. There was an advert about Clearing. As I was already really on edge, having my mum and dad asking me every 5 seconds whether I'm accepted, made me cry (it's a good thing that there are some sane people in my family) to which my mum took my phone. The advert had disappeared and there it was. The little note that opened a door to my future.
When I saw that little 'Congratulations!' I was in heaven. I couldn't believe it. As I previously said, I was more than sure that I was going to have to go through Clearing. It was pretty cool knowing that I was a University student now!
Having told you the whole story of this very traumatic experience, here are my top 5 tips on how to survive it.
Just remember, keep calm and carry on, or as I did, think about Ryan Gosling telling you not to panic.

Having told you the whole story of this very traumatic experience, here are my top 5 tips on how to survive it.
1) Don't panic about it- what's done is done.
Panicking makes everything seem worse. I panicked for about two weeks before actually going to school to get my results. That resulted in a lot of unwanted stress and when I think about it now, I don't know where all that stress was from.
2) Make a game plan.
Before going to collect your results, make sure that you have a plan. If something goes wrong what are you going to do? It would also make you panic a lot less! It surely did help me a lot!
For example, I was thinking about Gap Years. What if I went travelling, what if I went and worked somewhere! A door will always open!
3) Focus on yourself.
Don't think about what everyone else is going through. Think only about yourself. After you get your amazing results you can go and celebrate with your friends!
Results day can be intense and stressful occasion with all your friends celebrating/ crying it can sometimes become overwhelming. The most important thing to focus on is yourself, try to avoid all the drama and make sure you get everything including your options straight.
4) Think positively.
Always think positively no matter what. It helps!
5) Celebrate!
No matter what happens happens on results day, celebrate! Exam results are not the most important thing in life.
