My August Adventures: Paris (Day 1)

Day One- The Arrival and the Eiffel Tower.

Day One was the most exciting, to be honest (and the most tiring), as being able to roam free and explore an unknown city that I had heard about so many times before seemed so amazing!

I am not a person who often goes on holidays to new places, having only been to Germany through a school exchange programme, I am a newbie to tourist-y places and don't really know how to act outside of my natural habitat.

Having left home on the 4am train to London, I was tired. Already! And I had no clue how much walking will be needed to get around Paris. I secretly wish I could go back to my pre-Paris self and tell myself to prepare extensively and maybe even choose to take not only Converse, but some other, more reliable and waterproof shoes.

On the first day, it was raining. Surprise, surprise! Of course, after arriving at our hotel, not far from one of the central Parisian stations, my parents automatically decided it would be a great idea to go out to the Eiffel Tower. I mean who doesn't love a bit of rain??? Me. It turns out Converse really are not rain proof. My feet felt as if I was stepping in a pond over and over again with my what used to be burgundy high-top Converse now looking black due to the rain.

The Eiffel Tower was amazing. The only way that I could describe Paris is amazing. I loved every little part of the Eiffel Tower. You could see everything, the Louvre, Notre Dame, Champs-Elysee and pretty much the whole of Paris. I wish I could go back again.

However, going back to the hotel room and taking off my shoes was literally the best feeling. Like finishing your exams or getting accepted into University or simply finishing a 10km run. All jokes aside, thank God I didn't get a cold.
